If you’ve been to England many times, it may be you’ve already visited the main sights and are looking for something more off the beaten track. Or maybe you just want something ‘a bit different’. So long as it’s legal and moral, let me know what you’re interested in, and I can help devise a tour that’s just right for you.
This is also the page where I add special-interest tours, special events or one-offs. Do have a look at what’s on offer. The UK is crammed full of history and beautiful areas, that even if you’ve not heard of a place, it will still be worth visiting!

Wednesday Llama Tour

|
Available Wednesdays, May to September
This tour starts at 1.30pm to allow you time to enjoy Windsor at your leisure. We begin by visiting the world-famous RHS gardens at Wisley where you have approx 90 minutes to explore independently. We drive through some pretty Surrey countryside - and along some very narrow, winding roads! - to visit the delightful village of Shere, where ‘The Holiday’ was filmed. Continuing through more of the Surrey countryside, we finally arrive for what must be the highlight of the day - an hour’s walk with the friendly llamas. It’s a very sociable way to spend a summer’s evening, and you’ll be able to enjoy chatting over your evening meal at The Harriers pub. The time will fly by, and all to soon, I will drive you back to Guildford Station to catch your train to London, or back to Windsor if that’s where your hotel is.
Children must be aged 8 and over for this tour.
Tour duration: Approx 8-9 hours
|
Cost: 1-2 pax £340
For each additional passenger, please add £60.
Includes: admission to Wisley Gardens, the llama trek, evening meal, and car parking

JANE AUSTEN SPECIAL
|
We meet at your hotel between 9am / 9.30am (time will be confirmed) and drive to Chawton where you have an hour to visit Jane’s home, now a museum dedicated to her (admission included). We meet up again for the half hour journey to Winchester, the ancient Anglo-Saxon capital of England. I will show you the highlights of this delightful city before giving you time to explore the cathedral which is well worth a visit, even without the Jane Austen connection. You will also have time for a light lunch. Afterwards I will take you to Steventon Church of which her father was rector, and where some family members are buried. Hopefully you will now be ready to relax in the beautiful surroundings of some of Hampshire’s finest country hotels and be spoilt with afternoon tea. It is likely you will be back at your hotel approximately between 5.30 and 6pm. It is possible this may also suit those arriving off the cruise ships at Southampton and who are staying overnight in Windsor or Heathrow. Please contact me for details.
Tour duration: Approx 8 - 9 hours
|
Cost: £350 for 2.
Each additional person, please add £45.
Includes: admissions to Jane Austen’s House and Winchester Cathedral; afternoon tea and car parking
